Our community’s most vulnerable residents need help more than ever, but the nonprofits they depend on to help with the bare necessities can no longer meet the growing demand.
OUR RESPONSE: The Safety Net Challenge.
Together the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, Allegany Franciscan Ministries, and Quantum Foundation are working to address the unprecedented needs for food, shelter, healthcare and child care.
We call it the Safety Net Challenge. Each of the partners has contributed $250,000, which means that we have $1 million to distribute to the community. But with your help, we can do even more. We challenge you, the community, to help us provide immediate relief. During the month of May, we will match every dollar you donate with another dollar up to $1 million. Your donations will help our neighbors in Palm Beach and Martin Counties who need:
Families and individuals in our communities should not be going hungry. Help us make sure food is distributed to people who need it the most.
As unemployment increases, foreclosures are on the rise and the number of homeless individuals is also rising. Help us keep people in their homes or provide them with shelter.
As people lose their medical benefits, families and individuals are foregoing primary healthcare, which can lead to health complications. Help us improve access to healthcare.
People who are unemployed cannot afford child care, but child care is necessary for employment for many families. Help us increase accessibility to subsidized child care for families
